530               JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS          [Feb. 29,

The vote just taken on the last amendment was reconsidered so
as to allow him to add the following additional amendment:

"Provided, however, that nothing herein contained, shall be con-
strued so as to allow them to sell in quantities less than a pint."

The said bill was then read the third time and passed by yeas

The said bill was then sent to the Senate.                 

The Speaker desired it to be entered upon the Journal that he
had voted against the amendment of Mr. Hall, because it gave re-
tailers under that amendment, the rights and privileges held under
an ordinary's license.                                       

And Mr. Dowell desired it to be entered on the Journal that he
had voted against the amendment of Mr. Hall, because it gave re-
tailers under that amendment the rights and privileges held under
an ordinary's license.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered a bill entitled, an act to
secure the payment of debts contracted for materials furnished
for work done in the building, repairing or equipping of canal boats
or vessels of any kind used or intended to be used as carriers of
coal, or other freight or passengers on the Chesapeake and Ohio
