474             JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS.           [Feb. 27,

Mr. Kildow reported a bill entitled, an act to make valid two
deeds from the Llangollen mining company, to Samuel L. Gov-
erneur Jr.;

Which was read the first time.


The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills, sev-

erally endorsed "passed by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled, a further supplement to a bill entitled, an act to
incorporate the Philadelphia and Baltimore railroad company.

A bill entitled, an act granting the assent of the Legislature to
a bequest of a legacy made in the will of Sarah Hayward, of
Somerset county, to the vestry of Somerset parish in said
county.                                                                                                                                         

A bill entitled, an act authorising and empowering the county
commissioners of Worcester county to levy such sum of money
as in their judgment may be necessary for the support of Marga-
ret Jane Paradise of said county, who is very much deformed and
of very imperfect vision.

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Register of Wills and the
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Worcester county to have the re-
cord books in their respective offices repaired.                  

A bill entitled, an act to refund to John B. Nichols, collector
of the 1st collection district of Anne Arundel county, certain
moneys overpaid by him into the Treasury of Maryland.

And a bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of money for
the use of James G. Henning, Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Montgomery county;                              

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays, with the proposed amend-
ment;"                                                                         

                    Amendment Proposed.         

After the word "Montgomery," insert the word "county."
Assented to and passed by yeas and nays as follows:
