On motion of Mr. Dorsey,
The said bill was postponed to Tuesday the 26th.

A bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from James L. Dy-
son, Margaret Dyson, Gared F. Dyson and O. W. Dyson, to
William E. Burtles,                                                              

Was read the second time.           

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Maryland Iron and
Bolt Manufactory;                                              

Was read the second time.                                       

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Patapsco Steam Tug
company of Baltimore,                                

Was read the second time.                                                                        

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the President and direc-
tors of the book concern and periodical of the Methodist Protes-

tant Church,                                               

                               

Was read the second time.                                           

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the board of visitors of
Mount Washington Female College near Baltimore,

Was read the second time.
On motion of Mr. Loughridge,

The rules Were suspended to allow him to submit the following
order:

Ordered, That his Excellency, the Governor, be respectfully
requested to cause the National Flag to be displayed from the
top of the State House, on the 22nd day of February, in com-
memoration of the birth of the illustrious Washington;

Which was unanimously adopted.                  

A bill entitled, a further additional supplement to an act enti-
tled, an act to incorporate a company for the purpose of cutting
and making a canal between the river Delaware and the Chesa-
peake bay; passed at November session, 1799, chapter 16, and
to enable said company to create a mortgage, and to make valid
certain proceedings therein mentioned,                                 

Which was read the second time.                

A bill entitled, an act in relation to the acknowledgments of
deeds and other instruments of writing heretofore made before
Justices of the Peace, for Baltimore city and Baltimore county,
