Whitby, Stack, Partridge, Smith, of Balt, city, Valiant, Lester,
Askew, Harrington, Reichard, Loughridge, Corby, Harding, Hall,
Tower, Wickes, Kildow, Brown, Smith, of Carroll, Stewart,
Rowles.

The order being a bill entitled, an act to amend an act entitled,
an act to incorporate the Frostburg Savings Bank;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.                                                          

Senate bill entitled, an act to amend an act entitled, an act to
incorporate the Mechanics Exchange and Savings Company, for
the purpose of making loans, collection of notes and drafts, &c,
passed at January session, 1852,                            

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.                         

Senate bill enacted, an act for the relief of the sureties on the
official bonds of Thomas H. Osbourn, of Chas., former collector
for the third collection district of Prince George's county,

Was read the second time.                          

A bill entitled, an act entitled, an act to appropriate a sum of
money to Charles W. Webster, for a compilation and codification
of the laws of this State, prepared by him ;

Amendment proposed by the committee :

Strike out the words "one thousand," in the fourth line of the
first section, and insert "five hundred;"

Amendment assented to.

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the stockholders of the
Anne Arundel County Academy;

On motion of Mr. Dorsey,                                 

The said bill was postponed to Thursday, the 21st inst.


On motion of Mr. Smith, of Carroll,                     

The rules were suspended to take up the bill entitled, an act to
prevent the taking, killing and sale of Partridges, or Quails, of
Woodcock and Pheasants, out of season ;

Mr. Timmons offered the following amendments:
"Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall not apply to
Somerset and Worcester counties.
