in commissions disallowed.

Which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Whitby presented the memorial of J. E. Rochester, R. C.
Carter, A. P. Jordan, and others, praying that the members of
the African Methodist Episcopal Church of Denton, Caroline
county, be granted,, by act of corporation, certain things therein

Which was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Mr. Smith, of Carroll, presented the following petition and ac-
companying papers, which were ordered to be printed.             

          [See Document C.]

On motion of Mr. Askew,

Ordered, That the inspector of Guano be requested to report to
this House the full amount of Guano imported into this State dur-
ing the term of his office, and the number of tons of said Guano
inspected by him.                                                               

On motion of Mr. Smith, of Worcester,

Leave was granted to the Worcester county Delegation to
bring in a bill to give Justices of the Peace for Worcester county,
the same power hereinbefore granted to the Magistrates Courts
of this State by the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-five, Chap.
201.

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,                                         .

Leave was granted to the Queen Anne's county delegation, to

bring in a bill to refund a certain amount of money paid by James

Sparkes of Queen Anne's county, for a Trader's License; to the

Clerk of Queen Anne's county.

On motion of Mr. Lester,         

Ordered, That the Speaker be, and he is hereby requested to
have the room occupied by the Committee Clerks, put in a com-
fortable condition.                                                                      

Mr. Partridge reported a bill entitled, an act for the amend-
ment of the act incorporating the Neptune Mutual Insurance
Company of Baltimore,                                                            

Which was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Mr. Partridge reported a bill entitled, an act for the amend-
ment of proceedings in cases of attachment.                                 

On motion of Mr. Lester,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation to intro-
duce a bill in relation to landlords and tenants in the city of Bal-
timore.
