The House met pursuant to adjournment. Present at the call
of the roll the following members:

Goldsborough, Parker, Timmons, Smith of Worcester, Brengle,

Kennedy, Partridge, Valiant, Lester, Hugg, Askew, Fiery,
Harding, Tower, Wickes, Frey, Brown, Smith, of Carroll, Buff-
ington, Plowden, Corby, Rowles.

The proceedings of Friday were read.

Mr. Merrick presented the petition of sundry citizens of Charles
county, praying for the passage of a law allowing to the Regis-
ter of Wills of said county additional compensation for his ser-
vices as Treasurer for the Board of School Commissioners of
said county.                                         

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Carper presented a petition from one hundred and four
citizens of Frederick City and county, praying that the petition
for a law to open a street into the Barracks field may not be
granted.

Which was referred to the Committee on Roads and Highways.

Mr. Stone presented the petition of sundry citizens of Charles
county, relative to boats on the Potomac river.
