ported favorably on a bill entitled, an act for the more perfect re-
gistration of the free colored population of the State, and for the
augmentation of the school fund of the several counties thereof;

Which was read the first time.                           

Mr. Kildow introduced a bill entitled, an act to make valid a
deed from the Llangollen Mining Company to John M. Kight;

Which was read the first time.                    

On motion of Mr. Partridge,                

The rules were suspended to enable him to report favorably on
a bill entitled, an act to authorise the Commissioner of the Land
Office to issue a warrant of resurvey and patent for certain lands
in Allegany county;

Also on a bill entitled, an act for the relief of George Deneen,
of Allegany county, directing the Commissioner of the Land Of-
fice to correct the fifth line of a tract of land called "Love in a
Village;"                      

Which was read the first time.

Also asked that the Committee on Judiciary be excused from
the further consideration of the bill entitled, a supplement to an
act entitled, an act for founding a college at Chestertown, and that
the said bill be referred to the Committee on Education.

Mr. Silver, from the Committee on Corporations, reported fa-
vorably on a bill entitled, an act supplementary to the act to in-

corporate the South Baltimore Company, passed at December
session 1832, chapter 96, and the act amendatory of the act to
incorporate the South Baltimore Company, passed January ses-
sion 1854, chapter 122;                                               

Which was read the first time.

On motion of Mr. Kildow,                             

The reading of the bills for the second reading be dispensed
with, and take up bills for the third reading.                     

A bill entitled, an act authorising the Commissioners of Balti-
more county to levy a tax upon the first election district of said
county, for the payment of the debt contracted by the Commis-
sioners of public schools, under the act of 1832, chapter 287,

On motion of Mr. Partridge,                                       

The bill was postponed, and made the order of the day for to-
morrow.
