Mr. Partridge, chairman of the Committee on Judiciary, re-
ported a bill entitled, an act to repeal an act entitled, an act to
regulate fisheries in the waters of the Potomac river within the
jurisdiction of Maryland, and to protect the breed of fish there-
in.

Also, a bill entitled, an act to authorize the justices of the
peace in the several election districts of Allegany county, to de-
liver their dockets and all official papers into the hands of their
respective successors in office.

Which was read the first time.             

Also, unfavorably on a petition of James Frazier, asking the
passage of a law authorizing him to make valid a certain deed
therein named.                         

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Stubbs, chair of the Committee on Printing, submitted the
following report:

The Committee on Printing beg leave to report, that they have
contracted with Abram Requa, Agent of the American Publish-
ing Association, of Baltimore, and Thomas J. Wilson, for the
printing of five hundred copies of the Journal of Proceedings of
the House of Delegates of the present session of the General
Assembly, on paper equal to that heretofore used, at the rate of
$1 50 per page of 1450 eras. The said copies to be delivered
according to law, within thirty days after the close of the Gene-
ral Assembly, to the State Librarian. Also,

For the printing of bills and reports ordered to be printed
during the session, at the rate of $1 per page each, for one hun-
dred and thirty copies. For tabular work double the above prices
to be allowed. No extra charge to be made for the copies of the
journal daily furnished to the two Houses.                           

They have also contracted with Nicholas Brewer of J., for

preparing an index to the Journal of the House of Delegates, for

the sum of one hundred and fifty dollar, the same to be placed

in the hands of the printer, within ten days after the adjournment

of the Legislature.                         

The Committee further report that the said Abram Requa,

Agent for the American Publishing Association of Baltimore,

and Thomas J. Wilson have entered into bond to the State of

Maryland, in the penalty of one thousand dollars conditioned for

the proper and faithful performance of their contract.
