The said bill was then sent to the senate.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills:

A bill entitled, an act authorising a patent to be issued to Pere-
grine Harp for the tract of land called "Miners Beginning."

Which was referred to a Select Committee composed of Messrs.
Kildow, Wickes and Frey.

Also, a bill entitled, an act for the relief of the sureties on the
official bonds of Thomas H. Osbourn, of Charles, former collec-
tor for the third collection district of Prince George's county;

Which was referred to a select committee composed of Messrs
Brooke, Bowling, and Bowie.

And a bill entitled, an act to provide for the appointment of
be trustees for the poor by the county commissioners for Frede-
rick county, for the appointment of keeper of the poor's house by
by the trustees for the poor, and to specify their powers and du-
ties;

Which was read the first time, and referred to a select commit-
tee composed of Messrs. Davis, Grove and Carper.

On motion of Mr. Sudler,

The rules were suspended to enable him to ask leave to report
a bill entitled, an act to amend an act passed at the January ses-
sion 1853, entitled, an act to lay off, open and locate a public road
in Kent county leading from Chestertown to Quaker Neck.

Which was referred to the committee on roads.

On motion of Mr. Abbott,                                             

The House adjourned,
