Levering and 45 others, merchants of Baltimore and owners of
property on Union Dock against the passage of the bill relating
to Union Dock,

Which were ordered to lie on the table till bill is read.

Mr. Frazier presented the memorial of James A. Waddle, for-
mer collector of Dorchester County, praying to be released from
the payment of certain taxes, due the State charged against him.

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Harrington presented a memorial of 138 citizens of Balti-
more praying to enact a law giving, Justices of the Peace juris-
diction in criminal causes;

Which was referred to the Baltimore city delegation.

Mr. Plowden presented a petition of sundry citizens of St.
Mary's county, praying the passage of an act to provide for a
uniform system of registration of Births, Marriages and Deaths in

this State;                                                      

Which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

Mr. Kildow presented the petition of Stephen Stocks and 27
other citizens of Allegany county, praying a change in the line
dividing Frostburg and Grantsville election district;                 

Which was referred to a select committee composed of Messrs.
Kildow, Tower and Wickes.                                 

Mr. Stack presented the petition of sundry citizens of Caroline
county praying the passage of a law regulating; the distribution
to the several school districts of said county of the school fund
thereof;

Which was referred to the Caroline county delegation.             

Mr. Smith, of Carroll, presented the petition of 128 citizens of
Carroll County asking the formation of a new election district in

said county;                      

Which was referred to the Carroll county delegation.           

Mr. Sudler presented the petition of E. F. Chambers and 32 other
citizens of Kent county, asking that there should not be any
change in the mode of granting licenses in said county ;

Which was referred, to the Committee on Judiciary.                   

Also, a memorial of George Vickers and 40 other citizens of
Kent county, asking a change in the mode of granting licenses in
said county;                                                                        

Which was referred to the Committee on Judiciary.
Mr. Brooke presented a memorial of 86 citizens of Prince
