Tavern;                                                                           

On motion of Mr. Scott,                 

The said bill was indefinitely postponed.

A bill entitled, an act empowering the county commissioners
of Harford county to levy a sum of money to construct a bridge
over Little Creek;

On motion of Mr. Scott,
The said bill was indefinitely postponed.

A bill entitled, an act to regulate and restrict the granting of
licenses to retail intoxicating liquors in this State.

On motion of Mr. Silver,

Further consideration of the bill was postponed to next Thurs-
day.                                                          

A bill, entitled an act appropriating a sum of money to pay J.
T. B. Dorsey, for services rendered in the case of the State
against Shellinger, in the Court of Appeals, in 1854,

Was read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Harris,                                                 

The rules were suspended to receive a report from the select
committee on a bill, entitled an act in relation to the establish-
ment of a light House on Love Point, on Kent Island, in Queen
Anne's county, and to cede to the United States the jurisdiction
of the State of Maryland in, to, and over a site for the same,

Which was read the first time.                                 

Mr. Harris offered the following additional section.

Be it enacted, that this act shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

Which was adopted.             

On motion of Mr. Merrick,

Three-fourths of the members concurring, said bill was read
the second time.                                                 

On motion of Mr. Harris,

Three-fourths of the members concurring, said bill was read
the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follows:
