A bill entitled, an act to carry into effect the 35th section of
the 3d article of constitution of the State in regard to the eligi-
bility of persons to the offices therein specified and mentioned;

Which was read the second time.

A bill entitled, an act to appropriate a sum of money to pay
John C. Mullikin, administrator of Owen Norfolk, late Clerk of
the Circuit Court of Prince George's county, certain fees due said
deceased from the State;

Which was read the second time,

A bill entitled, an act to amend an act entitled, an act to incor-
porate the Neptune Mutual Insurance Company of Baltimore;

Which was read the second time,                                     

A bill entitled, an act authorizing and empowering the county
commissioners of Worcester county to levy such sum of money
as in their judgment may be necessary for the support of Marga-
ret Jane Paradise of said county, who is very much deformed and
very imperfect vision)                                                              

Which was read the second time,

A bill entitled, an act to prohibit the clerk of the several Cir-
cuit Courts of the counties of this State and the Superior Court
of the city of Baltimore, from issuing licenses to join in marriage
males under the age of twenty one years, and females under the
age of sixteen years, without the consent of the parent or guardian
of such persons;                         

On motion of Mr. Lester,                       

The bill was postponed until Wednesday next the 30th inst.

A bill entitled an act for amending proceedings in the Land
Office;

Which was read the second time.

A bill entitled, an act to authorize the county commissioners of
Harford county to sell or manumit certain negro slaves belonging
to said county;

Which was read the second time;

On motion of Mr. Towers,               

The rules were suspended to report favorably from the Allegany
county delegation, bill entitled, an act to denominate the town of
Cumberland a city, and to change and provide an alternative for
the name of the corporate body thereof.

A bill entitled, an act supplemental to an act passed at Janu-
ary session, 1854, entitled, an act to provide for the opening of a
docket by the Registers of Wills, of claims passed by the Register
and Orphan's Court against deceased persons.
