Miller, Brooke, Bowie, Goldsborough, Parker, Timmons, Smits,
of Worcester, Brengle, Davis, Carper, Grove, Hauver, Wolfe,
Duvall, Jarrett, Silver, Whitby, Smith, of Baltimore city, Abbott,
Lester, Harrington, Fiery, Witmer, Reichard, Loughridge, Corby,
Harding, Hall, Tower, Brown, Smith of Carroll, Buffington,
Rowles.

The proceedings of yesterday, were read.

Mr. Harrington presented the memorial of R. A. McAllister,
J. P., asking to be paid fees for services rendered the State;

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Hall presented the petition of Mary M. Fitch praying, the
passage of an act to make valid the last will and testament of
Eleanor Mullican, late of Montgomery county;

Which was referred to the Montgomery county delegation.

Mr. Davis presented the petition of Charles Goldsborough,
asking to allow a certain free negress to return into this State;

Which was referred to the Committee on Colored Population.

Mr. Heath presented the memorial of Charles Hooper and
others for a Joint Stock Company, to be called the Baltimore and
Green Spring Avenue Company;                          

Which, was, referred to the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments.

Mr. Brengle presented a petition from 33 citizens of Frederick
county, praying the Legislature to pass a law to compel all cases
coming under the jurisdiction of a Magistrate, to be tried in the
election district in which the defendant may reside;

Which was referred to the Committee on Judiciary.
Mr. Tower presented the petition of J. H. Tucker and 50 other,
citizens of Cumberland for the repeal of the Stamp Act;

Which was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Dorsey presented the petition of sundry citizens of Anne
Arundel county against the taking oysters in the waters of said
county from 1st day of June to 1st of September;

Which was referred to the Anne Arundel county delegation.

Mr. Rankin presented the petition of the Rev. E. J. Stevens
and 93 other citizens of Baltimore county, asking for the passage
of an act to provide for the passage of a uniform system of regis-
tration of births, marriages and deaths in this State;

Which was referred to the, Committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Daniel presented the petition of John Cullen of Somerset
county, with explanatory documents, asking for the payment of
