On motion of Mr. Daniel,

The rules were suspended to introduce a bill entitled, an act to
authorize the devises or bequests of Mary E. A. Reed of Caro-
line county to the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church of
Greensborough and the Vestry of the Protestant Episcopal Church
of St. John's Parish, both in said county;

Which was read the first time.

A bill entitled, an act allowing compensation to the Auditor of
of the City of Baltimore for collecting taxes due and in arrear to
the State of Maryland.

Was laid over for one day.         

Mr. Goldsborough presented the report of the Trustees of the
Church Hill Academy in Queen Anne's county;

Was referred to the Committee on Education.         

Mr. Hall presented a petition from James G. Henning, Clerk
of the Circuit Court of Montgomery county, praying compensa-
tion for services therein stated;

Was referred to the Committee on Claims.

On motion of Mr. Valiant,

The House adjourned.
