"Amend Section 2 so as to read as follows:

'Section 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of
constructing said road the State Roads Commission are hereby
requested out of any appropriation of moneys made by the
Acts of this General Assembly for State roads to use one hun-
dred and twenty-five thousand ($125, 000) dollars to meet a
similar amount to be provided by Act of Congress under the
provisions of an Act now pending therein, known as House
Bill No. 11959 and introduced by Mr. Mudd into that body
February 21, 1916, to construct said National Defense High-
way from Capital to Capital. ' "

"Strike out Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. "
