putes Between Employers and Employes'; Sections 12 and 13,
to be sub-titled 'Hours of Labor—Workshops, Factories, Etc. ';
Section 14, to be sub-titled 'Appropriation'; and Section 15, to
be sub-titled 'Fines and Penalties'; this Act also providing for
the appointment of deputies, inspectors, assistants and em-
ployes to the said State Board of Labor and Statistics, and
making appropriations thereto. " [Endorsed: "Read the third
time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also House Bill No. 622, entitled "An Act to authorize and
direct the County Commissioners of Frederick county to levy
annually the sum of six hundred dollars, to be paid to the
independent Hose Company of Frederick, the Junior Steam
Fire Engine Company of Frederick, the United Steam Fire
Engine Company of Frederick and the Brunswick Volunteer
Fire Engine Company of Brunswick; said sum of six hun-
dred dollars to be used by said companies for their mainte-
nance and support. " [Endorsed: "Read the third time and
passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read the first time
and referred to Senators Kaufman., Zihlman and Bomberger. ]

Also House Bill No. 371, entitled "An Act to repeal and
're-enact, with amendments, Section 123 of Article 23 of the
Annotated Code of Public Civil Laws of Maryland, title 'Cor-
porations, ' sub-title 'Foreign Corporations, ' relating to the
semi-monthly payment of wages by the corporations herein
mentioned. " [Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by
yeas and nays. "] [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Corporations. ]

Also House Bill No. 278, entitled "An Act to revise, rearrange
and clarify the entire law protecting property in returnable
containers; to afford additional containers; to afford additional
protection and to change penalties with reference thereto by
repealing the Act of 1882, Chapter 491, entitled 'An Act to
protect the property of manufacturers, bottlers and dealers
in mineral waters, porter and other beverages from the loss
of their founts, kegs, bottles and boxes, ' and known as Sections
201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206 and 207 of Article 27 of the Code
of Public General Laws of 1888, title 'Crimes and Punish-
ments, ' sub-title 'Mineral Waters, Porter and Other Bever-
ages, ' as amended by Chapter 262 of the Acts of 1892, as
amended by Chapter 245 of the Acts of 1902 and codified as
Sections 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 312, 313, 314 and 315
of Article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws of 1904,
