said county on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in
November, 1916, whether or not a special school tax shall be
charged and collected from every male citizen and resident of
said county, above the age of 21 years, in accordance with the
provisions of this Act and providing the method of the col-
lection thereof and the penalty for failure to pay said special
tax or assessment in the event the said voters shall determine
that same shall be collected. " [Endorsed: "Read the third
time and passed by yeas and nays"] [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Elections. ]

Also House Bill No. 891? entitled "An Act to repeal Sec-
tion 68-D of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
'Caroline County, ' sub-title 'County Treasurer, ' as amended by
the Acts of 1892, Chapter 211, and to repeal and re-enact, '
with amendments, Section 68-C, which was added to the said
sub-title by the Acts of 1904, Chapter 611. " [Endorsed:
"Read the third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which
was read the first time and referred to Senators Cooper,
Collier and, Legg. ]

Also House Bill No. 230, entitled "An Act to authorize and
require the County Commissioners of St. Mary's county, to
levy a sum of money sufficient to keep open the white schools
for the period of nine months and the colored schools the
period of seven months of each year. " [Endorsed: "Read the
third time and, passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was
read the first time and referred to Senators Chesley, Mudd
and Joy. ]

Also House Bill No. 722, entitled "An Act to repeal and
re-enact, with amendments, Section 37-A of Article 91 of the
Annotated Code of the Public Civil Laws of Maryland, title
'Surveyor and State Survey, ' sub-title 'Public Roads, ' as en-
acted by Chapter 374 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, of the Session of 1912. " [Endorsed: "Read the
third, time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read
the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also House Bill No. 873, entitled "An Act to repeal Section
128 of Article 1. 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws passed at
the 1888 session of the General Assembly of Maryland, and
Section 127 passed at the 1904 session of the said Assembly
of Maryland, title 'Kent County, ' sub-title 'Galena, ' and to
reenact the same with amendments. " [Endorsed: "Read the
third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read
the first time and referred to Senators Brown, Cooper and
Legg. ]
