city, against the provision of House Bill No. 539, making the
age limit for female employees 16 years. [Which was read and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a protest of Calm, Coblens Company, of Baltimore,
Maryland, against the provision of House Bill No. 539, making
the age limit for female employees 16 years. [Which was
read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a protest of Stuart, Keith & Company, of Baltimore
city, manufacturers of overalls and shirts, against the pro-
vision of House Bill No. 539, making the age limit for female
employees 16 years. [Which teas read and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]

Two-thirds of all the Senators voting in the affirmative, the
rules were suspended by yeas and nays as follows:
