By Mr. Ogden: Senate Bill No. 663, entitled "An Act to add
three new sections to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title 'Crimes and Punish-
ments, ' sub-title 'Sabbath Breaking, ' to be designated as Sec-
tions 438-A, 438-B and 438-C. " [Which was read the first
time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Norris: Senate Bill No. 664, entitled "An Act to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 187 of Article
23 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
'Corporations, ' sub-title 'Insurance Department. '" [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on In-
surance, Fidelity', Security and Loan Companies. ]
By Mr. Chesley: Senate Bill No. 665, entitled "An Act to
provide for military instruction in certain schools and edu-
cational institutions of Maryland. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Militia. ]
By Mr. Shepherd, by request: Senate Bill No. 666, entitled
"An Act to incorporate the Cambridge and Blackwater Canal
Company. " [Which was read the first time and referred to
the Committee of Corporations. ]
By Mr. Chesley: Senate Bill No. 667, entitled "An Act to
aid in the execution of laws passed or to be passed by the
Congress of the United States in exercise of the powers con-
ferred upon the Congress by the twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth,
fifteenth or sixteenth paragraphs of Section 8 of Article 1 of
the Constitution of the United States. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Militia. ]
By Mr. Warfield: Senate Bill No. 668, entitled "An Act to
declare the sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the legacy contained in the last will and testa-
ment of Alexander Carr, late of Carroll county, deceased, to
the trustees of the Church of God of Warfieldsburg, of Carroll
county, Maryland. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Warneld: Senate Bill No. 669, entitled "An Act to
authorize and empower the State Roads Commission to com-
promise and adjust and pay or cause to be paid to David E.
Walsh, of Carroll county, a part of the actual cost, remain-
ing unpaid, of construction of the State road leading from
Westminster to Cranberry, in said county, one and twenty-one
one-hundredths miles long, under Contract No. 0201 with said
State; Roads Commission, dated on September 10, 1909, out of
