by Senator Zihlman (by request), which, if passed, would pre-
vent the bands of music from such State and city institutions
as the St. Mary's Industrial School from appearing on the
streets. [Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ']

Also a petition of A. Cohen of the American Journal of Mathe-
matics, in favor of a full appropriation to the Hebrew Orphan
Asylum of Baltimore. [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a petition of Prof. John D. Blake, in favor of a full
appropriation to the Maryland General Hospital, of Balti-
more city. [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]

Also a petition of the Old Town Merchants and. Manufac-
turers Association, in favor of the establishment of a proper
agricultural college in Maryland to multiply the chances of
larger per acreage yields in Maryland and make farming at-
tractive and profitable to young men, and urging upon the
Assembly a liberal appropriation. [Which was read the first
time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a resolution of the Old Town Merchants and Manu-
facturers Association, in favor of the Maryland Agricultural
College in Maryland. [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a petition of the Old Town Merchants and Manufac-
turers Association against any legislation which increases
traders' license rates above the rates now imposed on mer-
chants carrying stocks up to f 40, 000 and that the present rates
be retained and that a proportionate and fair increase be
added to merchants carrying stocks from $40, 000 to $1, 000, 000.
[ Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Finance. ]

Also a petition of the Old Town National Bank of Balti-
more, in favor of an appropriation of $500, 000 bond issue for
an Armory for the Fourth Regiment I. M. N. G. [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a petition of the Old Town Merchants and Manufac-
turers Association in favor of resolutions against the new
traders' license rates. [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
