Mr. Holmead, from Select Committee, reported favorably,
with amendments,

SENATE BILL No. 352, BY MR. HOLMEAD.

SUBJECT: ROAD DIRECTORS—PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY,

Amendments proposed by Committee:

In line, 2 of title, between the figures 282 and 285, insert
the figures 284. "

"In Section 1, line 2 of the printed Bill, between the figures
282 and 285, insert the figures 284. "

"On page 7 of the printed Bill, between line 49 of Section
282 and line 1 of Section 285, insert the following:

'Section 284. The County Commissioners of Prince George's
county shall in their annual levy next succeeding the passage
of this Act, and in every annual levy thereafter, levy upon
the assessable property basis of Prince George's county not
less than twenty cents, nor more than thirty cents per $100
of such assessable basis for the use of the roads and bridges
of said county. The County Treasurer of said county is hereby
directed to report on the first of each month, beginning June
1, of each year to the said County Commissioners the amount
of county taxes collected by him for the preceding month and
on the Tuesday next succeeding the date of such report, the
said County Commissioners are hereby directed to draw their
warrant on the County Treasurer for the use of the road fund
for one-half of the amount so reported collected by the Treas-
urer each month until the whole amount of money levied for
road and bridge uses in each year shall have been paid into
the Road Fund.

Should the levy for the year 1914 be made before the pas-
sage of this Act, then the said County Commissioners, by their
warrant on the County Treasurer., shall draw all sums levied
for the use of the roads and bridges for said county by such
levy, no matter in whose name the said levy for such purpose
may have been made.

The Board of Liquor License Commissioners shall pay over
to the Board of County Commissioners all moneys collected
from liquor license less their proper expenses and such rebates
to incorporated town as are provided by law and the said
Board of County Commissioners shall apply the same as other
road taxes collected under this Act are applied. The Board
of County Commissioners are hereby directed to pay annually
to the proper authorities of incorporated towns in the county
