Williams, Archer and Cooper. ]

By Mr. Williams:

Senate Bill No. 27, entitled "An Act to authorize the Presi-
dent and Commissioners of Chesapeake City, Maryland, to
issue bonds to pay off the present indebtedness of said town,
growing out of a suit of Mrs. Josephine Pryor and others,
and to pay for improvements hereafter to be made in and to
the said town of Chesapeake City at the direction of the said
the President and Commissioners of said town. "

[Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Williams, Archer and Cooper. ]

By Mr. Cooper:

Ordered, That the Senate proceed to receive nominations
for Treasurer of the State. [Which was read and adopted. ]

Whereupon Mr. Ogden nominated Hon. Murray Vandiver.
Mr. Legg seconded the nomination.

Mr. Archer nominated Hon. Henry Amos Osborne, Jr. Mr.
Jones seconded the nomination.

At 3 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Cooper^the Senate
took a recess until 4 o'clock P. M.

At 4 o'clock P. M. the Senate resumed its session. Pres-
ent at roll call the following Senators:

Allen Cooper Jones Ogden Zihlman

Archer Duvall Joy Parsons

Bennett Frick Kaufman Shepherd

Bomberger Harrison Legg Speicher

Mr. Zihlman nominated Hon. Robert F. Duer for the office
of Treasurer of the State of Maryland. Mr. Williams seconded
the nomination.

At 5. 15 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Cooper, the Senate
adjourned until Thursday, January 20, at 11 o'clock A. M.
