adopted. ]

"In line 8 of Section 3, page 2 of the printed Bill, strike
out the word 'North' and insert in lieu thereof the word
'East. '" [Which was read and adopted. ]

"In line 9 of Section 3, on page 2 of the printed Bill, strike
out the word 'East7 and insert in lieu thereof the word
'North. '" [Which was read and adopted. ]

"In line 11 of Section 5, on page 4 of the printed Bill,
strike out these words: 'the qualification for voters for Mayor
and Councilmen shall be the same as prescribed for voters
by the laws of the State of Maryland' and insert in lieu
thereof the following: 'all male citizens of the age of twenty-
one years who are qualified to vote under the laws of the
State of Maryland and who have resided within the limits
of said town for a period of six months previous to the elec-
tion at which they present themselves to vote, shall be quali-
fied to vote for the election of officers for the town of Brent-
wood at all elections provided for under this charter. '"
[Which was read and adopted. ]

"In line 11 of Section 77 on page 5 of the printed Bill?
after the semicolon, insert these words: 'by asking each appli-
cant who presents himself to vote at the election which they
have been appointed to conduct under oath these questions:
First? "Have you resided within the town of Brentwood for
a period of six months preceding this election?"; second,
"Are you a legal voter in the elections of the State of Mary-
land ?" And should the answers of the applicants be in the
affirmative to both questions, then it shall be the duty of
the said Board of Election Supervisors to allow such appli-
cant to cast his ballot, and should the answer of the said
applicant be in the negative, then in that event he shall not
be allowed to vote. '" [Which was read and adopted. ]

"In line 12, Section 7, on page 5 of the printed Bill, strike
out these words: 'properly authenticated copy' and insert in
lieu thereof these words: 'a list. '" [Which was read and
adopted. ]

"In line 5 of Section 15, on page 8 of the printed Bill,
strike out these words: 'the repair of county roads' and in-
sert in lieu thereof these words: 'roads and bridges. '" [Which
was read and adopted. ]
