Amendments proposed by Committee:

No. 1—"After the word 'Used' in line 15, Section 1 of said
printed Senate Bill, insert the following words Whether reserve
or substitute cars are maintained by the applicant to be used
only in emergencies, and if so, the number of such reserve
and substitute cars and a complete description of each, and
when in use same to be designated by a special marker to be
furnished by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles. '"

No. 2—"After the word Vehicles' in line 20, Section 1 of said
printed Bill, insert the following 'except reserve or substi-
tute vehicles. '"

No. 3—"After the word 'tax' in line 24, Section 1 of said
printed Bill, insert the following words 'in respect to such
vehicles or their operation. ' "

No. 4—"Insert after the word 'aforesaid' in line 19, Section
2 of said printed Senate Bill, the following words: 'But noth-
ing in this Act shall be construed to prevent an owner or
operator of such regularly licensed vehicles from replacing in
an emergency such vehicles by a substitute vehicle in order
to maintain the schedule approved as herein provided, or in
an emergency from operating, temporarily, reserve vehicles on
such routes and schedules approved as aforesaid for the pub-
lic accommodation. ' "

No. 5—"Strike out all of Section 5 of said printed Bill and
insert in lieu thereof the following:

'Section 5. And be it further enacted, That every person
owning or operating any such motor vehicle in violation of
any of the provisions of this Act, or in violation of the rules
and regulations aforesaid of the Public Service Commission,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
subject to a line not less than five dollars ($5) nor more than
fifty dollars ($50) for the first offense, and a fine of not less
than ten dollars ($10) nor more than one hundred dollars
($100) for each additional offense or subsequent offenses. '"
