SUBJECT: ROAD—MONTGOMERY COUNTY.

Amendment proposed by Committee: "Strike out Section 1
of the printed Bill and insert in lieu thereof the following:

'Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission of Maryland shall
take over and include as a part of its system the public road
leading from Brown's corner on the Colesville-Ashton Pike,
in Montgomery county, via Spencerville, to State Road No. 1
at Laurel, in Prince George's county, provided that the State
Roads Commission shall not be required to maintain said
road until it shall have been constructed as are other State
roads, but until such time, it shall be maintained and kept
up as at present. ' " [Which was laid over under the rules. ]
