Minors, ' as enacted by Chapter 731 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland for 1912, to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Sections 26 and 4-8 of said Article 100 as re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, by Chapters 27 and
840 respectively of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land for 1914; and to add a new section to said Article 100
to come in after Section 22 and to be known as Section 22-A
of said Article 100; said sections so enacted providing regu-
lations for the employment of minors, limiting the hours of
labor for children under 16 years of age, and providing for the
enforcement of said regulations. " [Endorsed: "Read the
third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read
the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
Amendment proposed by the House: "On page 2, line 31 of
the printed Bill, after the word 'only, ' add the following: 'pro-
vided further that nothing in this Act shall prohibit the ship-
ment of alcohol or liquors to druggists which may be necessary
for medicinal purposes, and nothing herein contained shall
make it unlawful to manufacture, buy, sell, ship or deliver,
or deal in any bona fide medicinal, culinary or toilet prepara-
tion, official, standard or proprietary, provided that the same
does not contain more alcohol than is necessary to comply
Avith its standard or official formula or to hold the consti-
tuents in solution, preserve the preparation or keep it from
freezing, and provided the preparation is not sold for use as a
beverage or intoxicant. "
