58 of Chapter 605 of the Acts of 1908, for teachers who have
served for twenty-five years. " [Which was read the first time
and referred to the Committee on Education. ]

By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 582, entitled "An Act to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1, 3, 5 and 6
of Article 88-A of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
'State Aid and Charities, ' and to add thereto a new section to
be known as Section 4-A. " [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 583, entitled "An Act to
appropriate money for charitable purposes and direct the ex-
penditure thereof. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Duvall: Senate Bill No. 584, entitled "An Act to
repeal Chapter 525 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, Session of 1908, entitled 'An Act to fix the qualifi-
cations of voters at Municipal Elections in the City of Annapo-
lis, and to provide for the registration of said voters, and
Chapter 270 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
Session of 1910, entitled "An Act to repeal and reenact, with
amendments, Sections 1 and 3 of Chapter 525 of the Acts of
1908, entitled 'An Act to fix the qualifications of voters at
Municipal Elections in the City of Annapolis and to provide
for the registration of said voters, ' and to enact the following
in lieu thereof, 'providing for the registration of voters for
Municipal Elections in the City of Annapolis. '" [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Elec-
tions. ]

By Mr. Duvall: Senate Bill No. 585, entitled "An Act to
require the obtaining from the Board of County Commis-
sioners for Anne Arundel county of a permit for the erection
and construction of any building for habitation, industrial or
other private purposes in said county. " [Which was read
the first time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings. ]

By Mr. Bennett: Senate Bill No. 586, entitled "An Act to
confer additional powers upon the Circuit Courts for the
several counties of Maryland relating to children who are
now, or hereafter become dependents, neglected or delinquents;
to define such terms and to provide for the treatment, protec-
tion, guardianship and care of such children, and to pre-
