ANNAPOLIS, Monday, March 20, 1916.

The Senate met at 8 o'clock P. M.

Prayer by Rev. Francis W. Clair, O. SS. R.

Present at roll call the following Senators:

The Journal of Friday, March 17, 1916, was read and
approved.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Warfield it was ordered that Mr. Jones
be excused from today's session on account of sickness.

By Mr. Cooper: Ordered, That the Dulany-Vernay Com-
pany be paid the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars and
seventy cents ($250. 70) for blank books and supplies fur-
nished this body upon order of the Secretary of Senate; said
sum to be paid out of the appropriation for legislative ex-
penses for the Session of 1916. [Which was read and re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Cooper: Ordered, That the State Librarian furnish
the following for the various committee rooms:

Committee on Finance—1 eyelet machine, 1 paper fastener,
750 letterheads, 750 envelopes, 1 book Senate Bills, 1 book
House Bills.

Committee on Judicial Proceedings—500 letterheads, 500
envelopes, 1 eyelet machine, 1 paper fastener, 1 pencil
sharpener.

Committee on Roads and Highways—500 letterheads, 500
envelopes, 1 eyelet machine, 1 paper fastener, 1 pencil
sharpener.

Committee on Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries—1 book
House Bills, 1 book Senate Bills, 500 letterheads, 500 en-
velopes, 1 eyelet machine, 1 paper fastener, 1 pencil sharpener.

Committee on Printed Bills—1 eyelet machine, 1 paper
fastener, 1 pencil sharpener, 500 letterheads, 500 envelopes.
