SENATE BILL No. 142, BY MR. WILLIAMS.

SUBJECT: CHARLESTOWN—CECIL COUNTY.

Amendments proposed by Mr. Williams:

"At the end of the title of the printed Bill, add the follow-
ing: 'subject to the ratification of the qualified voters of said
town. '"

"On page 11, Section 2 of the printed Bill, strike out all
that follows the words 'and be it further enacted' and in lieu
thereof insert; the following: 'that the provisions of this Act
shall become effective upon the ratification of same by a
majority of the qualified voters of said town, after being sub-
mitted to them at a special election to be held between June
1, 1916, and August 1, 1916, on a date and at a place to be
determined by the present Commissioners of said town. '"

[Which were read and adopted. ] [Which favorable report
was adopted, which was read the second time and ordered
printed for a third reading. ]

At 7. 40 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Cooper, the Senate
adjourned until Friday, March 17, at 11 o'clock A. M.
