INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Duvall: Senate Bill No. 540, entitled "An Act to
authorize the Board of County School Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county to borrow money on the credit of Anne Arun-
del county to erect, heat and furnish annexes or additions to
the following public schools in said county: School 13, Dis-
trict 3; School 2, District 3; School 15, District 3; School
4, District 3; School 6, District 3; School 7, District 3;
School 1, District 3; School 4, District 1; School 10, District
4; School 2, District 5. " [Which was read the first time and
referred to Senators Duvall, Johnson and Ogden. ]
By Mr. Bennett: Senate Bill No. 541, entitled "An Act to
amend Article 56 of the Public General Laws of Maryland,
by adding thereto five new sections to be known as Sections
59 A, 59-B, 59-C, 59-D and 59-E, relating to the licensing of
^Transient Merchants' in Worcester, Somerset, Wicomico and
Dorchester counties. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Zihlman: Senate Bill No. 542, entitled "An Act
empowering the County Commissioners of Allegany county to
sell the property or a part, thereof on which the County Home
and Sylvan Retreat are situated, and to build a County Home
and Pest House on other property to be acquired by purchase
or condemnation, and appointing a commission to report to
the Legislature of 1918 the amount necessary to purchase
and the advisability of purchasing the county property afore-
said for use of a State Hospital for the Insane. " [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Bennett: Senate Bill No. 543, entitled "An Act to
repeal Section 39 of Article 56 of the Public General Laws of
Maryland, and to re-enact the same with amendments. "
