'Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 33-A of Article 641 of the Acts of
1914 be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:
'33-A. On and after the passage of this Act, the Commis-
sion known as the Good Roads Commission shall consist of
only three members, to be appointed by the Governor, and the
duties of said three members shall be the same as those here-
tofore performed by members of said Commission. One mem-
ber of said Commission shall receive a salary of twenty-five
hundred dollars ($2, 500) per annum, and shall be named by
the Governor as chairman of said Commission; the two asso-
ciate members of the Commission shall each receive a salary
of two thousand dollars ($2, 000) per annum, and all of the
salaries mentioned herein shall be payable in monthly in-
stallments. One member of said State Roads Commission
shall bona fide belong to or be affiliated with that one of the
two leading political parties in the State opposite to the
Governor's own political party.
'Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1916. '"

by striking out all the italics in said title and substituting
plain type in lieu thereof. "
No. 2—"Section 3, page 3 of the printed Bill, strike out
everything after the word 'committed, ' on line 18, down to
and including the word 'State, ' in line 23. "
No. 3—"Section 3-A, page 3, line 25 of the printed Bill,
strike out the word 'money7 and insert in lieu thereof the
word 'month, ' "
No. 4—"Section 37, page 6, line 19 of the printed Bill, strike
out the word 'or' and insert the word 'of in lieu thereof. "
No. 5—"Section 41, page 6, line 3 of the printed Bill, strike
out the words 'not exceeding thirty days, ' "
No. 6—"Section 41, pages 6 and 7 of the printed Bill, strike
out all after the word 'thereof, ' in line. 13 of said section,
page 6, down to and including the word 'cases, ' in line 20,
page 7. "
No. 7—"Amend by striking from the title of the Bill the
words 'and to prohibit the commitment of lunatic or insane
