ruptcy may be filed hereafter, in the United States District

create a State Racing Commission, prescribing its powers and

By Mr. Zihlman, by request: Senate Bill No. 499, entitled
"An Act to repeal Section 36 of Article 100 of Code of Public
General Laws, title 'Work, Hours of, in Factories, ' sub-title
'Employment of Minors, ' as enacted by Chapter 731 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland for 1912, and to
re-enact same with an amendment forbidding the employment
of minors in bands of music or orchestras maintained by or
connected with any school or institution except within such
school or institution or upon certain occasions. " [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 500, entitled "An Act to
add five new sections to Article 27 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, sub-title 'Crimes and Punishments, ' to be known
as Sections 484, 485, 486, 487 and 488, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 483 thereof, making it unlawful to
separate or cause to be separated any child under six months
of age from its mother for the purpose of placing such child
in a foster home or institution, or to place, receive or retain
such child in a foster home or institution, and to regulate the
manner and circumstances under which it may be done, and
to provide a penalty for violation of said Act; the same to
