INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Ogden: Senate Bill No. 464, entitled "An Act to add
three new sections to Article 27 of Bagby's Annotated Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled 'Crimes and
Punishments, ' the same to be designated and numbered 78-A,
78-B and 78-C, and to follow 78 of said Article 27; the same
being designated to make it a misdemeanor for any adult
person of sufficient financial ability to neglect or refuse to
support his or her destitute parent or parents; providing the
penalty therefor; prescribing procedure in cases under the
Act; and authorizing any county or municipality of the State
of Maryland to recover from the children or child, of sufficient
financial ability to pay therefor, the sum or sums expended
by such county or municipality for the maintenance and sup-
port of any such destitute parent or parents of such children
or child. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the

By Mr. Parsons: Senate Bill No. 465, entitled "An Act to
repeal and re-enact Section 187 of Article 81 of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled 'Revenue and Taxes, ' sub-title
'Tax-on Mortgages, ' as amended and re-enacted by the Act of
1906, Chapter 794, as amended and re-enacted by the Act of
1908, Chapter 283, as amended and re-enacted by the Act of
1910, Chapter 544,. as amended and re-enacted by the Act of
1912, Chapter 115, and to re-enact said section with amend-
ments. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Bennett: Senate Bill No. 466, entitled "An Act to
repeal Section 186 of Article 33 of the Code of Public Civil
Laws, entitled 'Election, ' sub-title 'Primary Elections, ' and to
re-enact the same with amendments. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Elections. ]
