PRESENTATION OF PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND
OTHER PAPERS.
The President submitted a petition of the Montgomery
County Federation of Women's Clubs (Elizabeth M. Getzen-
danner, president, Rockville, Md. ) in favor of the Widow-
Mothers' Pension Bill, introduced by Senator Jones. [Which
was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
Also a petition of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore city in
favor of the amendment to the Constitution of Maryland,
Article 4, Section 9, providing for investigation of the expenses
of the Courts of Baltimore city and the consolidation of the
Courts. [Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Amendments to the Constitution. ]
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Shepherd: Senate Bill No. 448, entitled "An Act
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 45-A, as en-
acted by Chapter 694 of the Acts of 1912; Section 65, as en-
acted by Chapter 339 of the Acts of 1900; and to add an addi-
tional sub-section to Section 75 of Chapter 339 of the Acts of
1900, to follow immediately after sub-section 75 (24), as en-
acted by Chapter 395 of the Acts of 1904, and to be numbered
75 (25); all the above sections being sections of Article 10 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Dorchester County, ' sub-
title 'Cambridge. '" [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to Senators Shepherd, Collier and Cooper. ]
By Mr. Williams, by request: Senate Bill No. 449, entitled
"An Act to add a new section, to be known as Section 172-A,
to Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Cecil
County, ' sub-title 'Fish. '" [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Fish and Game. ]
By Mr. Williams, by request: Senate Bill No. 450, entitled
"An Act to amend Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title 'Cecil County, ' sub title 'Elk-
ton, ' by adding four additional sections thereto, providing for
bonding the town of Elkton to pay for and to provide for the
construction and installation of a sewerage system and to
submit the question of issuing said bonds to the vote of the
legally qualified voters and taxpayers of said town. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to Senators Williams,
Archer and Cooper. ]

authorize, empower and direct the County Commissioners of
