said Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1794, and
to re-enact said Article 2 with amendments. " [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Insur-
ance and Loans. ]

By Mr. Kaufman: Senate Bill No. 423, entitled "An Act to
require the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, a body
corporate, to keep a flagman stationed at the crossing of the
railroad over the county road at Adamstown, Frederick
county. " [Which was read the first time and referred to
the Committee on Corporations. ]

Mr. Mr. Frick: Senate Bill No. 424, entitled "An Act to
declare the sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to a deed from Maria Louisa Kemp and others to
the Most Reverend James Cardinal Gibbons, Roman Catholic
Archbishop of Baltimore for the time being, and his suc-
cessors in the Archepiscopal See of Baltimore according to
the discipline and government of the Roman Catholic Church,
a corporation sole. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Frick: Senate Bill No. 425, entitled "An Act to
amend Article 4, title 'Judiciary Department, ' of the Consti-
tution of Maryland by repealing and re-enacting 'Part IV—
Courts of Baltimore City' thereof, so as to consolidate the
Common Law, Criminal and Equity Courts of Baltimore city
into one court, with one clerk; and to provide for the sub-
mission of said amendment to the qualified voters of this
State for adoption or rejection. " [Which was read the first
time and referred to the Committee on Amendments to the
Constitution. ]

By Mr. Cooper: Senate Bill No. 426, entitled "An Act to
add a new section to Article 91 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, title 'Surveyor and State Survey, ' sub-title 'Public
Roads'; said section to follow immediately after Section 33-A
of said Article, to be known as Section 33-B and to provide
for reducing the membership of the State Roads Commis-
sion to three members, and fixing their salaries. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ]

By Mr. Warfield: Senate Bill No. 427, entitled "An Act to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 3 of Article
76 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, entitled 'Publication
of Laws. ' " [Which was read the first time and referred to
