HOUSE BILLS—FIRST READING.

The President distributed the following message from the
House of Delegates, being House Bill No. 42, entitled "An
Act authorizing the County Commissioners of Prince George's
county to refund to Emil Becker, manager, Lord Baltimore
Country Club, the sum of three hundred and thirty-eight dol-
lars and thirty-three cents ($338. 33). for liquor license paid
and not used on account of the use of said liquor license being
enjoined by the Circuit Court for Prince George's county. "
[Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and
nays"] [Which was read the first time and referred to Sena-
tors Holmead, Johnson and Jones. ]

Also House Bill No. 361, entitled "An Act to require all
licensed keepers of a billiard table or tables in Allegany
county, under Section 8 of Article 56 of Bagby's Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title 'Licenses, ' sub-title
'Billiards, ' to close at 12 o'clock midnight. " [Endorsed: "Read
the third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was
read the first time and referred to Senators Zihlman, Speicher
and Kaufman. ]

Also House Bill No. 292, entitled "An Act to amend Article
10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Dor-
chester County, ' sub-title 'County Commissioners, County
Treasurer and Collectors, ' as enacted by the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, 1888, by adding new sections thereto,
to follow Section 105 and to be designated Sections 105-A,
105-B, 105-C, 105-D, 105-E, 105-F, 105-G, 105 H, 105-1, 105-J,
105-K and 105-L, for the purpose of establishing the budget
system of finance for Dorchester county, and providing for
the manner of administration for the same. " [Endorsed:
"Read the third time and passed. by yeas and nays. "] [Which
was read the first time and referred to Senators Shepherd,
Cooper and Collier. ]

Also House Bill No. 99, entitled "An Act to repeal Section
78 of Article 91 of Bagby's Annotated Code of the Public Civil
Laws of Maryland, title 'Surveyor and State Survey, ' sub-
title 'Public Roads, ' and substitute a new section therefor. "
[Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and
nays"] [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]

Also House Bill No. 208, entitled "An Act to authorize and
empower the Mayor and Common Council of Mount Ranier,
with the approval of the qualified voters of the town of Mount
