and re-enacted, with amendments, by the General Assembly of
Maryland at its Session of 1914; to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Section 8 of Article 19 of said Code of Public
Civil Laws, title 'Comptroller, ' and to add three new sections
to said Article 19, to follow Section 44 of said Article, to be

add two additional sections to Article 42 of the Code of

17-B of said Article 42, requiring that notice be given the
State's Attorney for the county or city from which any per-
son has been committed to any jail or the Maryland House
of Correction on a hearing on petition of the habeas corpus,
to enable said State's Attorney to be present and represent
the State as said hearing and proceedings in relation thereto. "
