other proceedings of said Board was the following, to wit:
"A copy of the new charter for the Maryland State College
of Agriculture was received and read, and on motion of Mr.
Milton Campbell, duly seconded, the Board unanimously en-
dorsed the said proposed new charter, and hereby pledges its
support of the said institution. "
In testimony whereof, that the above resolution is truly
taken and copied from the records of the said society, I here-
unto subscribe my name and the seal of said society, affix,
this twenty-second day of February, A. D. 1916.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By the President: Senate Bill No. 285, entitled "An Act to
add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, entitled 'City of Baltimore, ' sub-title 'Police
Commissioners, ' said new section to follow Section 777 of the
said Article, and to be known as Section 777%, the said new
section providing for the retirement of sergeants assigned to
do clerical duty at Police Headquarters, and at the Juvenile
Court of Baltimore city, upon an amount equal to half the
salary received by them at the time of their retirement. "

tors. ]
By Mr. Williams: Senate Bill No. 286, entitled "An Act to
repeal Section 2 of Chapter 90 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland for the year 1912, the same being an
Act to provide 'for the establishment of scholarship in applied
science or advanced technology available to the residents of the
State' and appropriating certain sums of money for this pur-
pose. '' [Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Williams: Senate Bill No. —entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, Section 45 of Article 26 of the
Code of Public Civil Laws of Maryland of 1911, title 'Courts, '
sub-title Salaries of Judges, ' as the same was amended by
Chapter 847 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1914. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
