of County Commissioners to pay over to the treasurer of said
village for disbursement for any of the aforesaid purposes
the money collected on account of the county road tax in the
same amount and manner now required by law to be paid to
incorporated towns in said county; also empowering the said
Citizens' Committee, subject to the approval of the said Board
of County Commissioners, to assess the cost of certain special
improvements against the property abutting on streets, roads,
lanes and sidewalks for certain improvements; the collection
of such assessments and disbursement thereof for the bene-
fit of the residents of said village; also for the petitioning of
the resident property-owners for the said special improve-

Also House Bill No. 92, entitled "An Act to authorize the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to anticipate the revenue
to be derived from the special paving tax provided by the
Act of 1912, Chapter 688, by borrowing money, to be repaid
from the proceeds of said tax. ". [Endorsed: "Read the third
time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read the
first time and referred to the City Senators. ]
Also House Bill No. 41, entitled "An Act to enable all the
registered and qualified voters of every election district of
Prince George's county to determine by ballot at the general
election to be held therein on the first Tuesday after the first
Monday in November, A. D. 1916, whether or not spirituous,
fermented, malt or any intoxicating liquors shall be sold,
given away or otherwise disposed of in Prince George's county
from and after May 1, 1917, except as permitted by the pro-
visions of this Act, and providing penalties for the violation
of the provisions of this Act and suspending the operation of
any law or parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions of
this Act. " [Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by
yeas and nays"] [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Temperance. ]
Also House Joint Resolution No. 2: Suggesting that it be
recommended to the United States Senators and Congressmen
representing the State of Maryland, and also to the War
Department of the United States, that appropriate legislation
and orders be enacted and issued, looking to the protection of
the fishing industry of the Chesapeake Bay and tributaries.
WHEREAS, The fishing industry of the Chesapeake Bay and
its tributaries forms one of the greatest sources of revenue of
