Sections 167-A, 167-B, 167-C and 167-D, said new sections re-
lating to tax on owners of automobiles using State roads or
streets or roads of any town or municipality, for the purposes
of transportation. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance. ']

By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 227, entitled "An Act to
add three new and additional sections to Article 56 of the
Annotated Code, Public Civil Laws of Maryland, title
'Licenses, ' said three new and additional sections to come in
under the sub-title of 'Shows and Theatrical Exhibitions, ' and
to follow Section 116 and to be designated as Sections 116-A,
116-B and 116-C of said Article, the said new sections relating
to licenses for theatres, museums, concert halls, motion or
moving pictures. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 228, entitled "An Act to
repeal Section No. 358 of Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Montgomery County, ' sub-title
'Kensington, ' as enacted by Chapter No. 790 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1912, and as repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter No. 116 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1914, the said section being im-
properly referred to in the body of said Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1914, as Section 'No. 353, ' though
correctly in the title as 'Section No. 358, ' and to reenact the
same with amendments. " [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 229, entitled aAn Act author-
izing the Mayor and Town Council of the town of Kensington
to borrow and issue its certificates of indebtedness therefor,
a sum of money not to exceed four thousand dollars, to pay
for certain extensions made to the water and sewer system of
said town, as authorized by the Governor and the Attorney
General of the State of Maryland, and the Board of Health of
said State on October 5, 1915, pursuant to the provisions of
Section No. 9 of Chapter No. 810 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1914; to provide for the redemption
of the same in such amounts, annually, as the said Mayor
and Town Council may provide at the time of the issuance
of said certificates; to levy a special tax on all the abutting
property in said town. served by water and sewer mains, or
either of them, and on the assessable property of said town,
annually, to redeem said certificates and pay the interest due
thereon, as the same are redeemable and as said interest is
