INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By Mr. Duvall: Senate Bill No. 215, entitled "An Act to
amend Section 98 of Article 65 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland (1904), title 'Militia, ' as amended by Chap-
ter 103, Acts of 1908; and by Chapter 204, Acts of 1910; and
by Chapter 215, Acts of 1912. ''' [Which was read the first time
and referred to the Committee on Militia. ]

By Mr. Duvall: Senate Bill No. 216, entitled "An Act to
authorize the Board of County School Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county to erect and furnish an addition or additions
to the public school building in the village of Curtis Bay, Anne
Arundel county, Maryland, and to provide for the heating of
same. " [Which was read the first time and referred to Sena-
tors Duvall, Ogden and Johnson. ]

By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 217, entitled "An Act to
provide for taking at the general election to be held in the
year 1917, the sense of the voters of this State in regard to
calling a convention for altering the Constitution or for fram-
ing a new one. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Amendments to Constitution. ']

By Mr. Cooper: Senate Bill No. 218, entitled "An Act to
provide for the issue and sale of certificates of indebtedness
of the State of Maryland to the amount of two million ($2, -
000, 000) dollars; the proceeds thereof to be used for the pay-
ment of appropriations heretofore made by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, to meet which there are not sufficient funds
in the general treasury of the State. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 219, entitled "An Act to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 797, 799 and
800 of Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1898, title 'City of Balti-
more, ' sub-title 'Park Tax'; and also to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, Section 1 of Chapter 566 of the Acts of
1906, subject 'Park Tax, ' providing for an increase in the park
tax and for the payment of a portion thereof into the State
treasury. " [Which was read the first time and referred to
the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Speicher: Senate Bill No. 220, entitled "An Act to
authorize and direct the State Roads Commission to construct
a State highway in Garrett county, Maryland, between the
town of Oakland and the Maryland and West Virginia boun-
dary line, to connect the Maryland system of good roads with
a system of good roads now in course of construction in the
