appropriate a sum of money for the purchase of a lot of
ground in the city of Crisfield, Maryland, and the erection

Maryland National Guard stationed at that place, and for the
equipment of the same; and to name a building commission
for the purpose of purchasing such a lot and providing for
the construction and equipment of an armory thereon. "

peal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-B of Chapter
828 of the Acts of 1914, amending Chapter 740 of the Acts
of 1908, and to re-enact said Chapter 828 of the Acts of 1914,
with amendments. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Frick: Senate Bill No. 197, entitled "An Act to
add an additional section to Article 75 of the Code of Public
General Laws, to follow Section 9 of the Annotated Code of
Public Civil Laws and to be known as Section 9-A. " [Which

was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Kaufman: Senate Bill No. 198, entitled "An Act to
appropriate the sum of fifty. thousand dollars ($50, 000) to the
Maryland School for the Deaf at Frederick, for the purpose
of making permanent and necessary improvements to the build-
ings of the said institution. " [Which was read the first time
and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Archer: Senate Bill No. 199, entitled "An Act to re-
quire each of the Associate Judges of the Third Judicial Cir-
cuit' of Maryland to hold and preside through at least one
term of court in each of the counties of said circuit to which
jurors are summoned, in each and every year. " [Which was
