INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 157, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, Section 93 of Article 39 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (Bagby's Edition), entitled
'Fish and Fisheries, ' so as to prescribe certain duties for the
State Fishery Force, and to add to said Article 39 five new
sections requiring certain crab licenses to be obtained at fixed
amounts, regulating the size and kind of crabs to be caught
or sold, prescribing penalties for violating the provisions
hereof, and distributing the license fees and penalties col-
lected hereunder; said additional sections to follow Section
93, to be known as Sections 93-A, 93-B, 93-C, 93-D and 94, and
to be grouped together with Sections 91, 92 and 93, under a
new sub-title 'Crabs, ' and to repeal the section now known as
Section 94 of said Article 39. " [Which was read the first time
and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Ry Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 158, entitled "An Act to re-
peal Article XIX-A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (Bag-
by's Edition), entitled 'Conservation of Natural Resources, '

consisting of Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4, and to re-enact said
Article, with amendments, so as to create and establish the
Conservation Commission of Maryland; to define the func-
tions, duties and powers of said Commission, and to place
under its protection and control certain natural resources of
the State, including oysters, clams, fish, crabs, terrapin, wild
fowl, birds, game and fur-bearing animals; to abolish the
Board of Shell Fish Commissioners, the Commissioners of
Fisheries, and the State Conservation Bureau; and to provide
for the 'Conservation Fund, ' and the expenditures of the
moneys in said fund, under the control of said Commission. "
[Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Finance. ]

By Mr. Legg: A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, Sections 69, 70, 71, 72 and 75 of Article 72
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (Bagby's Edition), title
'Oysters, ' sub-title 'General Measures and Inspectors, ' so as
to place under the control of the Conservation Commission of
Maryland the appointment of inspectors of oysters and super-
vision of the performance of their duties, and also to increase
the inspection tax upon Maryland oysters caught within the
