1916] OF THE SENATE. 15
The President submitted the following:
DEPARTMENT OF LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE,
ROOM 219, CITY HALL,
BALTIMORE, January 6, 1916.
HON. PETER J. CAMPBELL,
President State Senate,
Annapolis, Md.
MY DEAR SENATOR:
I will greatly appreciate it if you will see that an order
is passed by the Senate directing the State Printer to fur-
nish this Department with 15 copies of every bill and four
copies of the Senate Journal. I may say that during the
sessions of 1908, 1910, 1912 and 1914 this Department re-
ceived the bills and journals as requested for this year. I
may also say for your information that the Department de-
sires to have this number of the, bills and journals in order
to exchange with similar departments in some of the other
more important States, and also to have a few copies avail-
able for city officials and others in Baltimore interested in
legislation at Annapolis.
If a daily calendar is provided, I will also appreciate it
if you will see that a copy of this is furnished this Depart-
ment, and that the printer also be directed to furnish at least
one copy of the third-reading file bills. The bills which we
receive are indexed daily and an effort is made to show the
progress of the bills through the Legislature, and it is very im-
portant that we receive a copy of the third-reading file, as well
as of the bills as introduced.
I am enclosing you a copy of the order passed by the Sen-
ate at its last session.
Trusting that you will be able to comply with this request
and thanking you for your many past favors, I am,
Very truly yours,
HORACE E. FLACK,
Executive.
P. S. —I am also enclosing you two copies of the form of
order which covers the request for this year.
[Which was read. ] [On motion of Mr. Collier, it was or-
dered spread upon the Journal. ]
