entirely inadequate to meet the increased demands of the
traveling public by virtue of the completion of the aforesaid
Maryland State road; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of Mary-.
land, That the Commissioners of the District of Columbia
be and they are hereby requested and urged to construct
and maintain in the District of Columbia, between the points
heretofore designated, a road of such specifications as will
adequately meet the demands arid secure the safety of the
increased traffic, over said road; be it further

Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate is hereby in-
structed to send a copy of this resolution to the Commis-
sioners of the District of Columbia.

mittee on Federal Relations, ]

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Ogden, from Committee on Judicial Proceedings, re-.

ported favorably Senate Bill No. 49, entitled "An Act to legal-
ize the Code of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore county,
comprising Sections from 1 to 613, inclusive,, compiled by T.
Scott Offutt, Esq., and to make it. evidence of the law and to

authorize the County Commissioners of Baltimore county to
have the same printed in such numbers as they deem proper,
and to sell the same. "

Amendment proposed by Mr. Allen to Senate Bill No. 49:

"Amend Section 3 by striking out the words 'date of its pas-
sage' and substituting therefor 'the first day of June, 1916. ' "

[Which was read and adopted. ] [Which favorable report
was adopted, which was read the second time and ordered
printed for a third reading. ]

Also favorably Senate Bill No. 48, entitled "An Act to
authorize the use of numbered marbles, or balls, instead of.

written ballots, in drawing jurors in the First Judicial Cir-
cuit. "

Amendment proposed by Mr.. Odgen: "Amend Section 2
by striking out the word 'May, ' on the second line, and sub-
stituting the word 'June. ' " [Which was read and adopted. ]
[Which favorable report was adopted, which was read. the
second time and ordered printed for a third reading. ]
