INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTIONS.
Senate Resolution No. —, introduced by Mr. Mudd:
WHEREAS, The State of Maryland, through its State Roads
Commission, has completed the State road from Leonardtown
in St. Mary's county to the District of Columbia line, thereby
tending to afford the people of the entire southwestern sec-
tion of the State an attractive means of transportation to
the National Capital; and
WHEREAS, The road in the District of Columbia connect-
ing with the aforesaid Maryland. State road and leading to-
wards the city of Washington, between the point of its con-
nection with said State road and the top of Good Hope Hill
in Anacostia, is poorly constructed, dangerous to traffic and
