By Mr. Archer, by request:

WHEREAS, The Senate of Maryland of 1916 did not appoint
any employees to fold the Journals, and which work has been
forced upon the State Printers and is not a part of their con-
tract, and

WHEREAS, This work at previous sessions has cost the State
of Maryland about $1, 500; and

WHEREAS, This sum has been saved to the State by the work
having been done by the State Printers; therefore

Ordered, That King Bros., State Printers, be paid the sum
of $300 for doing this work, which sum shall be taken from
the appropriation for State Printing for the Session of 1916.

By Mr. Legg: Ordered, That the 'Chairman of the Finance
Committee report on all orders for extra compensation of
Senate Employees referred to him yesterday, or on the Legis-
lative day of Saturday, April 1, 1916. [Which was read. ]
