ORDERS.
By Mr. Zihlman: Ordered, That the sum of $100 each be
paid to W. O. Anderson, Jr., and W. E. Rowens, Jr., reporters
for the daily press, for services rendered the Senate. [Which
was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Shepherd: Ordered, That the Secretary of the Sen-
ate, Journal Clerk of the Senate and President of the Senate
be paid the sum of two hundred ($200) dollars each for serv-
ices required to be performed after adjournment of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 191. 6, the same to be taken out of the money
appropriated by the Act of 1914 for the legislative expenses
of the Session of 1916. [Which was read and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Zihlman: Ordered, That J. E. Hurst, of Annapolis,
be paid the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450), for
actual services rendered to the Senate of Maryland during
the present session, same to be taken out of the money appro-
priated by the Acts of 1914, for the legislative expenses of the
Session of 1916. [Which was read and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Duvall: Ordered, That W. M. Holladay be paid
the sum of thirty-eight dollars and fifty cents, for printing
Senate Bill No. 690, known as the Bill making appropriations
to sundry schools and charitable institutions for the years
1917 and 1918, the same to be taken from the appropriation
for State printing for this session. [Which was read and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Legg: Ordered, That the sum of twenty-five ($25)
dollars each be paid to William L. Schulz and C. H. Wright,
representatives of the Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis
and the Annapolis Short Line Railroad, respectively,. for
courtesies and extra services extended to the members of the
Senate during the Session of 1916, in providing special trains
during the late session. [Which was read and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Legg: Ordered, That the Senate employees be al-
lowed their pay from the first of Session 1916, and they are
also hereby allowed the usual mileage or traveling expenses
as heretofore allowed. [Which was read and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Cooper: Ordered, That the Remington Typewriter
Company be paid $136. 18 for typewriters hired for the use
of the General Assembly of Maryland.
