Also a petition of William Bullock Clark, in favor of sav-
ing a small appropriation hitherto given the State Weather
Service to complete important State work in co-operation with
the Federal Government. [Which was read and referred to
the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a petition of T. P. Littlepage, in favor of the passage
of the Widowed Mothers' Pension Bill. [Which was read
and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a petition of Child Labor Committee, by A. J. Mackel-
Way, Southern secretary; Randolph Barton, Jr., Bernheimer
Brothers, Anna Herkner and Henry C. Miller, in favor of the
passage of the Child Labor Bill. [Which was read and re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance. ]

Also a petition of Edwin B. Niver, Katie M. McLane, Alfred
M. Hussey, Caroline Wilson and Lawran Riggs, in favor of
the passage of House Bill No. 539, known as the Child Labor
Bill. [Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ]

Also a petition of H. Athey, in favor of the passage of the
Child Labor Law. [Which was read and referred to the
Committee on Agriculture and Labor. ]

Also a petition of John Daniels, Director Social Service
Corporation, in favor of the passage of the Child Labor Bill..
[Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agricul-
ture and Labor. ]

ORDERS.

By Mr. Duvall: Ordered, That Jesse E. Hurst be paid five
dollars ($5. 00) per diem for the first of the Session, for serv-
ices as keeper of the Senate. [Which was read and referred
to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Shepherd: Ordered, That L. Herbert, Griffith, Scott
L. Heffinger, Samuel C. Appleby, Thomas J. Wentworth and
Charles M. Geyer, employes of the Senate Printed Bills Com-
mittee, be paid one hundred dollars ($100) each. [Which was
read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Duvall: Ordered, That R. T. Wells be paid twenty
dollars ($20) for services rendered in Senate toilet room.,
[Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Shepherd: Ordered, That Harry F. Ogden be paid
the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) for prepar-
ing the Senate Omnibus Bequest Bill. [Which was read and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
