from Baltimore county, who informed me that it is impossible
to build a new police station-house at Canton for the sum of
$10, 000? the amount that I named in an amendment to their
original Bill for $20, 000; hence we have agreed upon the sum
of $15, 000, and I accordingly withdraw the amendment and
vote for the Bill, as the community is much in need of a better
police station-house than the present one. "

[Said Bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. ]
